I initially saw Svetlana for my first manzilian wax. Since this was my first wax of any kind I was understandably a bit apprehensive, particularly as I was starting off with a manzilian. Well, as it turned out everything went great and I was very pleasantly surprised.

To begin with, Lana's salon is conveniently located in Downtown San Francisco. It's a nice art deco building with a stunning lobby. I've been to this building many times before for other services, so I could identify with the surroundings.

Next, her waiting room is quite nice. It's comfortable and tranquil. There is a small fountain on a table with a relaxing sound of running water.

The room where the waxing/facials are done is extremely clean, neat and professional looking. There is room to move about, so it's not a cramped space. Soft, soothing instrumental music plays which really helps one to relax.

When Lana greeted me I found her to be very pleasant. She's professional, well mannered and friendly. She did not appear hurried or rushed and she provided me with plenty of time catch my breath, undress and prepare for the procedure.One of the best things she did was discuss each step of the process with me so there was no ambiguity on my part. Any questions or concerns I had, she gladly took the time to answer them. At various times during the waxing she asked me if I was comfortable and if everything was ok. Lana really cares about the welfare of her clients.

Additionally, an excellent quality wax from France is used to do the brazilians. It's designed for sensitive skin, so that irritation is kept to a minimum. It's really a good product because it helped keep the waxing virtually free of pain.

When the procedure was over, Lana asked me to look over all the areas that had been waxed to see if there were any stray hairs that remained. Again, no rush. She was willing to stay as long as necessary to get every remaining hair I could detect. My satisfaction appeared to be her top priority. After this, she massaged the area with soothing essential oils to alleviate any irritation.

Thus, I wholeheartedly recommend Green Apple Skin Care Salon for all your waxing needs. Svetlana is friendly, knowledgeable and reliable. She's terrific!

Svetlana is amazing.
This was my first time doing a Brazilian wax and I was extremely nervous. She made me feel comfortable and kept my mind off the pain. It even did not hurt as much as I expected! Her friendliness made it a great experience. I would definitely recommend Lana. She also does great facials and skin treatments, I already had a few done since last year, and have been receiving a lot of compliments on how great my skin looks.

This review is long overdue for Svetlana. I've had my fair share of facials and waxings, but she is the best. Gentle and meticulous. And she keeps you distracted, while doing Brazilian, so you don't pay attention to what's is going on down there... The results are purely amazing!

Having found Svetlana almost a year ago I understood this was gonna change my attitude and care for the problematic skin. Looking at myself today I can see the result and it is revolutional!

On my first visit I was told that I have severe acne-prone skin type. I've gone through many deep cleansing facials with Svetlana. After 8 or 9 of them, Svetlana recommended me derm renewal chemical peel from GM Collin that consists of 6 sessions(!!!the 6th is free btw!!!) which helped to remove scars and pigmentation. Now my skin looks much smoother, shinier and has no spots and damages left from endless extractions!
If you have a problem like me don't think you can get it done with a couple of facials only. Acne is a disease which takes a lot of time, efforts and money to get rid of. You only need the right approach to it, I have to praise the Lord I've found Green Apple!
All Be sure to call for an appointment a few days in advance - I think she was booked solid these days, and for a good reason!

First off Svetlana is amazing! I've always had problem skin and after one facial and consultation from Svetlana on appropriate skin care products my issues have disappeared.

Perhaps my favorite bit of information to share is that she will make time for you. My first appointment was made the same day and Svetlana stayed open just to squeeze me in, which is wonderful for those moments when you realize you really need a wax and don't want to wait along longer than necessary!

My advice to you is to go see Svetlana -- you'll find out yourself what a gem she is, plus Green Apple Skin Care Salon is super convenient to get to via public transit.

Lana is the absolute best! You will never regret going to her for waxing, skin care advice or a facial. Least painful waxing I have ever encountered.

Best Brazilian in my life ! I tried couple times before at other salons and I couldn't take it without tears , pain and no desire to come back. I have to admit Lana is a pro. She uses high quality wax so there is no irritation afterwards and also she has her special oil that calms down the skin.

I've been going to Lana's salon for a while now. I keep coming back because she's amazing in all aspects. Starting with wax - her brazilian technique made it as pain free as possible when I first came. Her facials are best ones I've had so far. Lana talks you through the process and explains every single step so you can repeat it home. And what's more important, she does an excellent job for a reasonable price which is a rare thing now.

I have an old friend L. who had a problem since she moved to the US, the climate did not agree with her, and she developed BAD acne. She moved from Florida to California, but BAD acne did not go away. So after not seeing L. for several months, I opened the door, and there was L. acne free!!! I called Svetlana the next day to see if she could help me with my problem skin. She did, over 4 months before my wedding my skin had gotten much better. Now 3 years later I wouldn't let anyone else touch my face. Svetlana does wonders with my skin. She does offer GM Collin products a lot, and honestly they are great and relatively affordable if you compare to other non drug store lines. I tried the products without monthly extractions, and extractions without the products, I definitely have better results when I do both regular extractions and use the products she offers. Svetlana can ship it to my home for free, I just call to place an order with her.
I can't stand any bikini waxing, my hair is very thick and very dense, I scream bloody murder no mater what, my experience with hard wax down there was probably better than previous ones but I decided to do laser and forget that the bikini area hair ever existed for me. I loved her eyebrow waxing.

I've been struggling with acne for over 10 years. I tried everything from Proactiv to expensive creams. My friend recommended to get Svetlana's facials.  On first visit, she took time to learn my skin, what products i used and what my diet was like. I like her approach; she uses herbs and high quality products not to mention her best out of this world massage. I am definitely a permanent client!  I've been going to this place for about a year now and this is my first review of this spa.  I've been happy with the services since my first encounter at this spa.  I booked my first brazilian ever at this spa and to my surprise it was not as bad as I thought (awful videos on youtube).  

She uses super high end wax that is for sensitive skin and formulates her own oil to minimize the redness.  After a few visits, I added on more was services and I am now a regular monthly customer.

I like that she is not pushy at all!  She is very thoughtful and super customer service friendly!  She is accommodating when emergencies come up and I need to switch my appointments.  She's usually always booked a week out, but she always makes an extra effort to fit me in.

I started using her skin care products (which is the same price as my department store brand skin care) and it gives me AMAZING results!  I have completely switched over and I love that she knows my skin type so that when I book a facial (which is a yearly thing for me), she knows exactly what to do.

I am happy to personally vouch for this business. Her integrity is what keeps me coming.

When I decided to get my first Brazilian, I spent a couple days researching different salons. I decided on the Green Apple Salon and am very happy that I did. I was very nervous and a little scared, but Svetlana talked me through the entire process. She told me what she was doing and what I could expect. I loved the facial there! First of all Svetlana really lets you relax and get the best of it. I loved the products that she used as well as combination of oils that really moisturized and nourished my skin. She is very gentle and even during extraction it didnt hurt. She also gives great european style facial massages, so if you have never tried it before you definitely give it a go, you would never get a facial massage like this anywhere else!\r

I've been searching for a good salon for years know,everything was very  expensive and I didn't see any results.  I liked her aproach towereds  costumers,and how she spent time getting to know my skin from the inside out.I also liked the high quilty of the products she used on my skin  and the products she recomended. Some people try to learn a trade and do it, while others have a gift. Svetlana was born with this gift. After her facials and massages, I step out feeling ten years younger. From the moment you enter her office, her good vibes put you in state of complete relaxation. Although she uses high quality products, I believe Svetlana herself is the difference between a good salon and a great one. Her friendliness and positive energy and special touch make my day.

One of the other great features is that she's located in the very center of downtown, right by the Stockton and Sutter Garage. This way, I can take a nice walk around, do some window shopping (or shopping), grab some coffee and make a whole day of the visit.

I went in for a Brazilian and was so happy with her services. I used to live in L.A. so for those of you who did as well, you know that L.A. pretty much sets the standard for brazilians and bikini waxes. This lady did such an amazing job. She used hard wax which was so much LESS pain and it was efficient and she was friendly and made you feel comfortable.

She does an amazing job and even mixes her own soothing oil to keep your skin soft and unirritated. I have NEVER felt my skin so soft, ever.

The first time I went to see Svetlana it was totally last minute but she was able to fit me in somehow. My boyfriend was helping me in a rush and found her website online and showed it to me. I called and she squeezed me in the next day. Which gives her already a two thumbs up for being flexible. The first time I went to Svetlana it was for a brazillian. She makes you feel completely comfortable and eased into it. It can be an awkward experience, but it is never awkward with Svetlana. She talks to you about the procedures she is doing, what tools or wax she is using, and how to take care of everything after the procedure. She uses a hard blue wax which is much less painful. She makes sure she does a thorough job. She did an amazing job the first time! She is the best you will find. I also got my eyebrows and upper lip done by her. I have never gotten either waxed before, but it was virtually painless and she again does a thorough job and makes sure that you are pleased and asks for your input.

Svetlana has turned me into a regular. In the past 5 years, I have not gone to the same person twice. I have had brazilians all over california, from LA to Santa Barbara to SF. And I say she is the best I have ever come across. She does wonders at a decent price. Green Apple Skin Care Salon is definitely a secret gem in the city. Svetlana cares about her clients and really engages in them. You aren't just money walking in and out the door with her. You get quality from her. Sveta is by far the best facial care specialist I have ever visited, and trust me I've been to many. She is a seasoned professional as she's been doing facials for 2 or 3 DECADES.

I have oily acne-prone skin that is hard to manage. With Svetlana's facials and products by GM Collin it now looks much better.

Her services and products are not cheap, but well worth it.
My $115 facial lasted over 90 mins and included:
* makeup removal
* deep exfoliation
* steam WITH NATURAL HERBS
* thorough extractions
* TWO masks (calming and anti-bacterial)
* high-frequency treatment
* hand massage with nourishing oils
* high frequency treatment
* neck and shoulder massage
* toner and moisturiser

It was a sheer indulgence. My skin felt and looked fabulous the next day. I refer all my girlfriends to Svetlana, and they rave about her.

A must visit salon. I had a brazilian bikini waxing today and it was the most professional and impeccable brazilian waxing I have ever had. Svetlana uses 2 types of wax, hard wax to remove dense hair and soft wax to remove individual hairs, making the whole process almost completely painless. She did an amazing job in reasonable time and gave me very good recommendations for my skin even when I was not visiting the salon for a facial. The treatment room is large, spotless and with very high quality products and equipment. I would recommend this place to family and friends, and will definitely go back again, both for the same service and to try out other services in her palette.

Fantastic brazilian, because it's honestly a lot less painful than my usual (at silk on franklin). While I question the liberal use of the word organic on everything, the fact that it's a hard wax is probably what makes it better.  Svetlana will be all up in your business like it's nobody's business, but hey, she's thorough.  The only complaint I had is that the whole time she kept trying to sell me her products.  Literally every time she set the wax to dry, she'd walk over to her shelf and walk back with a new product to try and sell me.

I have been going to Green Apple Skin Care Salon for waxing services and skin care products for about a year now, and as long as I live in SF I will be coming back. Svetlana is a darling; always professional, friendly and has an unbelievable ability to always fit me into her schedule. In addition she is thorough, meticulous and she always asks you if you are happy with the result before you leave the salon.

I want to update my review again. I have been extremely satisfied with the chemical peeling (6 sessions)  that Sveta suggested as a follow up to extractions. After only 2 peelings I can walk in the street without having  to put on tons of makeup. Note to self: continue using the products every day and night, otherwise the results will not be visible.

I had a lot of problems with my skin, and I tried everything.and I spent a lot of money .Svetlana's methods are the best .She is amazing!!!!! .My skin now is clean, and it is getting better.I bought all the stuff she recommended for my face, and I saw results after a week.I live in Palo Alto,and driving to SF to get my facial , because I want to have the best service and want to be beautiful.!!!! I get my facial done only in green apple salon, i love the rusults, i love having soft, renewed skin after the facial i don't even use any creams no moustorizer after her treatments becouse after she clean your face she use all kind of oils that just make my skin look so fresh and healthy. I always get compliments on my skin and i don't even do much becuase Lana does everything for me, I highly reccomend that place!!!

I loved the facial there! First of all Svetlana really lets you relax and get the best of it. I loved the products that she used as well as combination of oils that really moisturized and nourished my skin. She is very gentle and even during extraction it didnt hurt. She also gives great european style facial massages, so if you have never tried it before you definitely give it a go, you would never get a facial massage like this anywhere else!
In conclusion i have to add that after all my skin was clean, even and baby smooth!
